| The course
is situated at the Polocrosse Grounds, Miro St, Manunui, Taumarunui
The Polocrosse
Grounds are flat pasture land, with clumps of mature Podocarp rainforest,
mainly Totara, Tawa, Miro, and Kaihikitea. A small stream runs through
the property. The pasture is grazed by sheep and cattle,so the area under
the trees has no regeneration, and is quite open.
These grounds
are owned by the Department of Conservation,
but managed by the Ruapehu District
Council.
King Country
Polocrosse use the fields to host local carnivals approximately three times
per year, and occasionally as a Test Match venue. They also practice
on Sunday afternoons during summer.
The Public
are welcome to use the area at other times.
Cards for
this course are available. See Contact Information
